Catena Zapata is one of Argentina’s finest producers. Highly acclaimed by the critics, the estate’s top wines are high performers year after year. The latest releases – from the superlative Adrianna vineyard – are particularly special. Not just one but two of them score 100 points, and the others are rated an impressive 97 and 98 points.
Adrianna is Catena’s best vineyard, named after proprietor Nicolas Catena’s daughter. It is located at 500m elevation in the Gualtallary sub-region of Mendoza, where high altitude and calcerous soils make for superb cool climate wines. Two single-plot Chardonnays, White Bones and White Stones, are made alongside two Malbecs: River and Fortuna Terrae. In both colours, these are wines of concentration and precision.
Demand is high for these wines. Quantities are very limited, so please be quick if you would like some.
