Argiano lies in the centre of the Brunello di Montalcino appellation. It is a historic estate and dates back to the sixteenth century. Owned by a Brazilian billionaire since 2013, Argiano has benefitted from considerable investment over the last few years. After a soil mapping project, the vines are now farmed on organic lines. The winery has been remodelled, with large oak vessels replacing small barriques to allow for a more traditional style of vinification. The result is a greater precision and expression in the wines.
Argiano makes a Rosso di Montalcino, two wines from Brunello di montalcino and a Brunello di Montalcino Riserva. The estate also produces two IGT wines: Solengo and Non Confunditor.
