Domaine Henri Germain

Domaine Henri Germain is an eight hectare domaine based in Meursault. Founded in 1973 by Henri Germain himself, it is now run by his son Jean-Francois and his grand-daughter Lucie.

The domaine’s most significant holdings are in Meursault and include three premier crus: Perrieres, Charmes and Poruzots. There are also vineyards in Chassagne and in Beaune. The Germains farm along organic lines but are not certified as organic, and they are experimenting with biodynamic methods.

In the winery, the white grapes are pressed without crushing. The wines spend between 12 and 18 months in barrel, of which around 20% are new. The domaine is known for its pure, unforced style.
