Stella di Campalto is the ambitious, up-and-coming owner and winemaker at Podere San Giuseppe.
The estate lies in the subregion of Brunello, Castelnuovo dell’Abate, on unusually diverse soils. A meticulous approach to terroir means that each parcel is harvested, and sometimes vinified, separately. The estate has been organic since 1996, and biodynamic since 2002. The first vintage of Brunello here was 2004. The range also includes an excellent Rosso di Montalcino.
