Domaine Fourrier

Jean-Marie Fourrier has an impressive CV. He began his career with an internship at Henri Jayer, then broadened his horizons with a stint at Domaine Drouhin in Oregon. After that, at the age of just 23 – took over the 9 hectare family domaine, in Gevrey Chambertin.

Domaine Fourrier consists of many old vine parcels: most of the vines in Gevrey Chambertin are between 75 and 100 years old. Low yields and good concentration result. Jean-Marie Fourrier takes a hands-off approach in the cellar: grapes are fully de-stemmed but there is no racking during elevage. The wines are known for their characteristic silkiness of texture and purity of fruit.
