Louis Roederer

Louis Roederer is the producer of Cristal, one of Champagne’s most famous prestige cuvees. Cristal comes in blanc and rose versions and is only made in top years. The wine is always Pinot Noir dominant and it is made exclusively from fruit from Roederer’s own vineyards. Since 2012, these have been farmed organically to produce lower yields and greater concentration. Cristal is always part fermented in old oak to give roundness and structure. Malolactic fermentation is blocked to preserve freshness.

Louis Roederer also make an excellent non-vintage wine, which since 2021 has been labelled Collection 242. Other bottlings include vintage wines in Brut, Rose, Blanc de Blancs and Brut Nature styles.
