Domaine Yvon Clerget

Domaine Yvon Clerget is a tiny, six hectare domaine with a long history and a bright future.

The Clerget family have been making wine in the regions of Volnay and Pommard since the 13^th century. Today, the tiny six hectare domaine is run by the dynamic and forward-thinking Thibaud Clerget. Thibaud took control of the domaine in 2015 after training in New Zealand and Oregon as well as in Burgundy.

Domaine Yvon Clerget produces a range of Volnay premier crus alongside a Pommard and a Clos Vougeot. Thibaud takes a light touch when it comes to extraction and it shows: the Pommard here is light and ethereal, far removed from the stereotype of the appellation. The Volnays display excellent terroir definition and the Clos Vougeot comes from Grand Maupertuis, a lieu-dit favourably situated in the north of the appellation, on the border with Echezeaux.

Neal Martin has called Clerget “one of Pommard’s leading winemakers”.
